Welcome to my Blog! Below you will find info and photos from all of my recent shoots. There'll be a lot of weddings, pre-wed shoots, portraiture and I'll throw in some personal projects for good measure. The photos I choose for the blog aren't necessarily the best, but they might just show a moment captured that I particularly like or help tell the story of the day.

For more information go to my Wedding Photography Website. To get in touch simply fill out the form on this blog, send me an email or give me a call. All the details are on my website. And why not follow me on Twitter or add me on Facebook? I bet you can't guess where the links are for doing that. You got it, the top of the page.

Freddie and Laura’s Pre-Wed Shoot at Goodnestone Park

When Freddie and Laura told me that they’d like to do their Pre-Wed shoot at Goodnestone Park in Kent, the first thing I thought was “Where?!” Now, I’ve lived in Kent for most of my life and I thought I knew the local area pretty well. Except I obviously don’t, because I had no idea that Goodnestone Park was there. It’s a beautiful place and a location I’ll be sure to recommend to any of my clients for their Pre-Wed shoots. Freddie and Laura are getting married later this month and I can’t wait for their wedding. Its a massive one and got lots of lovely little things that will make it very special. Watch this space!

A few of my favourites from the shoot…

Lee and Jo’s Pre-Wed Shoot at Hampton Court

Lee and Jo are getting married later this year at Hampton Court Golf Club which is in the amazing grounds of Hampton Court Palace. They decided to do their Pre-Wed shoot in the grounds of the Golf Club, which is great for me as I like  to get to any venue before the wedding so I can scout out some decent locations and get a feel for the place I’ll be working in. The ground was soo dry, and at the risk of sounding like an old person, I think “we need some rain”. The dry ground does make for some great photographs and if you didn’t know better we could have been in sub-Saharan Africa!

As always, I’ve attached a few of my favourites…

Tim and Amy’s Wedding, St Peters & Broome Park

Tim and Amy got married at St Peters Church in Bridge, Kent and held the reception at the wonderful Broome Park in Barham. It was a lovely – and mostly dry – day. The heavens did decide to open just as Amy was due at the church, but this brief shower didn’t affect things too much, especially as we were graced with lovely blue skies in the afternoon. I had contingency plans in the event of rain but didn’t really need them. There were lots of standout moments for me from this wedding but I particularly liked Tim’s Fathers speech. Tim is from New Zealand – his parents flew over for the wedding, but sadly his brother and sister couldn’t make it. Tim’s Father read a letter out that they had written which was very funny but at the same time very moving. Another one of my favourite moments was the one guy dancing like a mentalist with all the girls around him! I’ve made certain to include this photo in my selection below!

My Trumpet Bloweth

I received a lovely email a little while ago from Jamie and Stacey whose wedding I photographed way back in December. I thought I’d share some of it with you. I shouldn’t really blow my own trumpet but in this case I feel that Stacey and Jamie are doing it for me…

All of our wedding party thought that you were amazing from start to finish. All of your work was discreet and at the same time so personal which is what’s made me recommend you time and time again to anyone who will listen! Our wedding album is one we will treasure forever and it wouldn’t have had half of the sparkle it does without your hard work and professional knowledge. Fabulous wedding photographs and here’s looking forward to the baby shoot in the New Year!

Thank you so much, Jamie and Stacey x”

Laila’s First Photoshoot

I had the pleasure of photographing Laila a couple of weeks ago when she was just 2 weeks old. Her first photoshoot went relatively smoothly – she slept for a bit, woke up a few times, had a bit of a cry, ohh and she pooed in Dave’s hand (!) which still tickles me to this day. I’ve attached some of my favourites from the session. I’m hoping to photograph her a couple more times in her first year so watch this space to see how she grows!

Sabrina and Nick’s Wedding, Lulington Church

I’ve been so busy recently that I’ve neglected my blog somewhat, and for that I apologise, but it means I’ve got loads to blog about! I’m going to start with Sabrina and Nick’s Wedding that was held in the beautiful village of Alfriston, East Sussex. I was more thankful for amazing weather for this wedding than any other before it and I’ll tell you why. Sabrina and Nick got married in Lulington Church which is absolutely beautiful, but absolutely tiny too. The church holds about 20 people, including the B+G and vicar. This is fine if your having a particularly small wedding, but if you’ve got about 40 odd guests it means people are going to be standing outside. And there is no shelter. At all. Hence my relief that it was a glorious day! Lulington Church is situated in amazing countryside and Sabrina and Nick certainly made the most of such a nice setting by leading a walk from the Church back to their hotel, where a bus was waiting to ferry guests to the reception – which was held at their good friends stunning manor house.

Below are some of my favourite photos from a great day, oh, and to any prospective couples…the ice cream van went down a treat!

This next photo is particularly special as I know it will mean a lot to Sabrina. The two people you can see watching are Sabrina’s Father, who flew over from Majorca, and also Sabrina’s Grandmother, who flew all the way from Florida to be at the wedding.

Sarah and Tony’s Pre-Wed Shoot

Like I mentioned in the teaser, Sarah and Tony are holding their wedding reception at the Shepherd Neame factory in Faversham, which is where they first met. Sarah was the head ‘taster’ (I’m sure theres a more technical term) so she may have been slightly tipsy when they first met, but still, it was love at first sight. Their wedding is going to be great and I’m really looking forward to the opportunities that will arise in this sort of environment. Check out some of my favourites from the Pre-Wed shoot below…

Sabrina and Nick’s Pre-Wed shoot in Alfriston

Alfriston is a beautiful little village that is just begging to be used as the back drop for a Wedding or Pre-Wed shoot. Luckily I’m able to do both! I had a great day walking around the lovely countryside with Sabrina and Nick. We visited the tiny little church where they are getting married, took the cross country walk that is planned for the big day and had lunch in a great pub. (Fingers crossed the weather is as good as it was for this shoot!) It’s given me some big ideas for photographs on the day. Below is a selection of my favourite photos.

The next two shots are of the place that Nick proposed to Sabrina. Being a true romantic Nick had the old tree stump decorated with candles and made to look amazing. He got down on one knee and popped the question. I think this explains the huge smile on Sabrina’s face! And a ring like that would cause most women to smile…

Sabrina and Nick’s Wedding Teaser

I’m so glad it didn’t rain on Sabrina and Nick’s wedding. They were very brave with their plans, which included a beautiful walk through the countryside to get from venues and getting married in a tiny 20 seater church in Lulington, near Alfriston. I’ll go into more detail in the full post, but for now, here is a teaser from the lovely day…

Sarah and Tony’s Pre-Wed Teaser

Sarah and Tony’s wedding reception is to be held at the Shepherd Neame factory in Faversham, which is where they first met. I couldn’t resist taking some shots as we walked around the grounds of the factory. It’s a setting I haven’t had the chance to do a Pre-Wed shoot before so I made the most of it! Below is a teaser, with the full blog post to come shortly.
